Technology Training for the Community

The word community can be applied to any group of people living together in one neighborhood or it could be a group of individuals sharing the same cause. The number of members could range from ten to thousands. There are even "virtual communities". These are people who are passionate about something but share in a virtual world. But no matter what you call your community network, it wouldn't have been possible without communication. Modern electronics has made keeping in touch with each other more convenient. Conventional communication devices such as telephones and fax machines might be considered as office staples. Today, offices could never be without computers and Internet connections. Further development of their models has added more features and multimedia capabilities, such as the mobile phone. Community technology centers include computer laboratories to provide trainings for members of the community who do not have access to technology. Providing trainings and educating community members using computers can be both beneficial for the individuals and the community.
