| Information technology in Indiana has made a significant growth and improvement in the past few years. It has adapted to the needs of this modern age. For this reason, based on a survey conducted, a lot of students take IT courses and many schools in Indiana is now offering it. The number one for the Most Popular Jobs in Indiana is that of an IT project manager. As documented by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development ("Hoosier Hot 50 Jobs"), today plenty of high-paying IT jobs exist all over the state. According to the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) , these jobs are paying between $50,000 and $70,000 per year, which is more than double the state’s median wage. In fact, the DWD finds that five out of the top 15 jobs are in the field of IT, reflecting a growing national demand (http://www.techpoint.org). This demand is actively filled by the Indiana government by creating means to support the IT industry like IT parks and other government initiatives. |
